The complex would be built on the eastbound side of the highway near Vauxhall Road and in an area that's now home to a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant and a motel.

The proposed development would include a Wawa gas station and convenience store as well as the hotel, a Fairfield Inn by Marriott. It was not known whether the development would displace any existing businesses in the area.

Wawa, the popular convenience store chain which has several locations across the state, will be opening another store soon in Roselle, according to the Pennsylvania-based company's Web site.

Attempts by Daily Voice to speak to a representative of the developer, Paramount Union LLC, were unsuccessful.
